Autoterm Air 2D – Error 13: what causes it?

When the Autoterm heater blows heavy white smoke from the exhaust pipe and Error 13 appears on the display, the cause is almost always a heavily fouled combustion chamber.

Tools required

  • Torx T10 and T25
  • 27 mm spanner
  • 10 mm socket
  • Phillips and flat-head screwdriver
  • Pliers, small hammer, compressed air

Spare parts required

  • Seal kit
  • Glow plug screen
  • Glow plug puller

Important notes

Work carefully when dismantling and reassembling. Use new seals. Connect the black cable to the correctly labelled socket. After the repair, check all connectors. Light white smoke immediately after the first start can be temporarily normal.
