Fabian introduces the new Autoterm Mini Control panel – successor to the PU5. Operation, modes, compatibility and differences explained.

The new Autoterm Mini Control panel

The Mini Control is the successor to the well-known PU5 / Simple Control and brings a new design with a small display and more intuitive menu.

In this QuickFix episode, Fabian explains everything you need to know about the new control panel.

The key points

Operation: 2 buttons + rotary knob. After connecting, "CONNECTED" appears. Use the rotary knob to set the operating level, the right button to start the unit.

Error messages: In the event of problems, the panel displays a comment and an error code – look it up on autoterm.com or in the operating manual.

Operating modes with temperature sensor:

  • Temperature mode – maintains the temperature, reduces power or switches off when temperature is exceeded
  • Heat + Ventilation – switches to ventilation mode once temperature is reached
  • Ventilation

Operating modes without temperature sensor:

  • Power modes (constant power / rapid heat-up)

Compatibility

Mini Control supports air and water heaters. Works with the Flow heater in 2 modes: operation from 30 min to 8 h, and a mode for faster reaching of operating temperature.

Mini Control vs. PU5

Mini Control PU5
Design Modern, with display Classic
Temperature control Precise with sensor Basic
Availability Currently available No longer from manufacturer
Menu Intuitive Familiar to installers

Fabian's verdict: Mini Control is a step towards greater comfort and more precise control – especially when a stable temperature is important.
